Setting Up the Tent - Tim has suggested that the tent be set up as far from the hedges as possible. This will create an arc of shade given the direction the sun falls in the morning.

This time of year, with the sun so low in the sky, it doesn't seem to make much difference where the tent is. Last Saturday (9/17), it was set up to the south and people sitting to the north were in the sun and people sitting to the east were getting sun despite being under the tent. It helps some but it's not a panacea.
